<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio train control system capable of realizing the safe entry procedure by reliably detecting a train entering a control range of a security system such as a shed is not present. <P>SOLUTION: The radio train control system having a radio train control section and a section without any security system has an onboard position detection device having wayside coils provided in these sections in which the distance between the adjacent wayside coils is determined so that, even when a brake is applied after the train detects one wayside coil, the train dose not collide with another train stopped on the other wayside coil, and the train receives position information and on-rail flag information from the wayside coil, and a train control device which generates a brake pattern that the train passing through the wayside coil before the boundary with reference to the database.
