<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image generation device and a printer, capable of generating an elliptical radial gradation, while restraining a load concerning drawing. <P>SOLUTION: This image generation device or the like generates a transformation matrix B for transforming an elliptical shape indicated by a drawing command into a complete round shape, when receiving the drawing command for the elliptical radial gradation, as an image drawing command, from an outside, and transforms the center coordinates of the gradation, using the transformation matrix B. The image generation device or the like draws the gradation, in the complete round shape transformed from the elliptical shape by the transformation matrix B, based on the center coordinates of the gradation after transformed, and based on color values in a start point and an end point of the gradation. Besides, the image generation device or the like calculates an inverse matrix C of the transformation matrix B, and affine-transforms the complete round shape drawn with the gradation, using the inverse matrix C. The image generation device or the like generates thereby the elliptical radial gradation according to the elliptical shape indicated by the drawing command and a gradation pattern, while restraining the load concerning the drawing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
