<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor integrated circuit which is more reliable by automatically detecting a timing violation and monitoring an error only when necessary. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The semiconductor integrated circuit includes a logic circuit which has a plurality of logic gates, a signal transition detecting circuit which detects transition of a signal passing through the logic circuit and outputs a detection signal, and an enable signal generating circuit which outputs an enable signal according to the detection signal.
