<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To elevate the temperature of molding sand effectively while suppressing the energy cost, in an apparatus for manufacturing a water-soluble mold by filling up the molding sand coated with a water-soluble binder into a molding die cavity, and drying after the molding sand is wetted using superheated steam. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for manufacturing a water-soluble mold includes: a molding sand storing apparatus 20 for storing the molding sand S to be filled-up into a molding cavity 53; a molding sand filling-up apparatus 30 for filling up the molding sand S stored in the molding sand storing apparatus 20 into the molding die cavity 53; and a superheated steam feeding apparatus 40 for introducing superheated steam into the molding die cavity 53 during the filling-up of the molding sand S by the molding sand filling-up apparatus 30 or after the filling, for wetting and drying the molding sand S. The piping 44 of the superheated steam feeding apparatus 40 through which the superheated steam going to the molding die cavity 53 flows is arranged at the inside of the molding sand storing apparatus 20.
