PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To concentrate mass by disposing a fluid pressure generating means near an engine body, and to suppress the influence of the heat from an engine upon the fluid pressure generating means, in a brake device for a motorcycle controlling the operation of a pressure adjusting unit interposed between the fluid pressure generating means and a wheel brake by a control unit based on a detection value of an operating amount detecting means for detecting the operating amount of an brake operating element to adjust output fluid pressure of the fluid pressure generating means and make it act on the wheel brake. SOLUTION: The fluid pressure generating means 17F is disposed between an exhaust pipe 59 connected to the front surface of a cylinder head 52 of an engine body 51 mounted on a vehicle body frame F and extending downward from the cylinder head 52, and the engine body 51.
