<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystal device such as a crystal vibrator or a crystal oscillator, which is insusceptible to exogenous noise. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The crystal device has a container body 1 formed of laminated ceramic and having a recess formed at least on an upper surface thereof. A crystal piece 2 is accommodated within the recess of the container body 1, and the recess is closed with a metal cover 3 grounded, thereby tightly sealing a crystal piece 2 within the recess. A plated layer 13 is formed on an outer surface of the container body 1, and the plated layer 13 is also extended to the upper surface of the container body 1 for connection with the metal cover 3.
