POLYMER-GEL CONTAINING COMPOSITION, LIGHT MODULATION DEVICE AND LIGHT MODULATING METHOD

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer-gel containing composition preventing corrosion of an electrode and repeating swelling/contraction stably, and to provide a light modulation device and a light modulating method, using the polymer-gel containing composition. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The polymer-gel containing composition has a solvent having the relative dielectric constant ε of 5 or below at 20°C and an ionic polymer gel changing the volume by voltage driving. The suitable ionic polymer gel has a hydrophobic group and an ionic group, charges of the ionic group are preferably non-localized and further the ionic polymer gel preferably has a hydrophilic group.
