METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROCESSING EVENT IN HOME NETWORK

An event relating to a service provided to a home network is notified to all devices that have no relation to the relevant service. The identifiers of devices requesting a service related to the relevant event are included in an event notification message that is multicasted in a home network. The devices eliminate the event notification message when the device identifiers included in the event notification message are not identical to their device identifiers.
