摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium nickel manganese based complex oxide powder for lithium secondary battery positive electrode material in which low cost, high voltage resistance, and high safety are compatibly secured with battery performance improvement for using as a lithium secondary battery positive electrode material. <P>SOLUTION: The lithium nickel manganese based complex oxide powder for lithium secondary battery positive electrode material is constructed by including a crystal structure belonging to a layered structure and its composition is expressed by a general formula (I): Li[Li<SB>z/(2+z)</SB>ä(Li<SB>x</SB>Ni<SB>(1-3x)/2</SB>Mn<SB>(1+x)/2</SB>)<SB>(1-y)</SB>Co<SB>y</SB>}<SB>2/(2+z)</SB>]O<SB>2</SB>.
