<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system with a drive circuit built in a case, having a reduced size while actualizing stable lighting control of a discharge lamp without propagating heat from the discharge lamp directly to the drive circuit. <P>SOLUTION: In the lighting system, a through-hole whose diameter is larger than the outer diameter of a base is formed in the center, the base is located in the through-hole, and a drive circuit part is mounted in the case so that an outer wall defining the through-hole has no contact with the base. Thus, a space between the back side of a reflecting plate and the inner wall face of the case opposite thereto is effectively utilized for reducing the size of the lighting system while avoiding the propagation of heat from the discharge lamp directly into the drive circuit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
