<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily record sound which is actually sounded by a sounding means with home recording. <P>SOLUTION: A musical performance system includes a user side system 2 and a server side system 3 which are connected so that data may be communicated via a communication network 1. The user side system 2 includes a sound signal generation means 4 and a recording means 5, and the server side system 3 includes a sounding means 6 and a sound collection means 7. A sound signal generated by the sound signal generation means 4 is transmitted to the server side system 3 via the communication network 1. In the server side system 3, the sounding means 6 outputs sound corresponding to the sound signal which is transmitted from the user side system 2, and the sound collecting means 7 collects results sounded by the sounding means 6. Then, the sound signal corresponding to the sound collected by the sound collecting means 7 is transmitted to the user side system 2 from the server side system 3 via the communication network 1.
