<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device, performing color display with high utilization of light by utilizing a blue light source, and having excellent viewing angle color display characteristic. <P>SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display device includes: a blue light source emitting blue light; a liquid crystal element having a liquid crystal cell and a pair of deflecting plates holding the liquid crystal cell between them; a color filter having a fluorescent material excited by the blue light to emit red fluorescence and a fluorescent material excited by the blue light to emit green fluorescence; and a light scattering film for scattering at least the blue light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
