<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure the concentration of a cyanogen compound without being affected by a reagent added when the concentration of the cyanogen compound during drainage is measured in a JIS-K0102 method. Ž<P>SOLUTION: After adding sodium hydroxide for holding a sample for a long time, an appropriate quantity of reducing agent for reducing manganese oxide generated by it is added. Further, in order to eliminate reaction of EDTA solution with compound having N-S binding, an appropriate quantity of nitrite is added before adding the EDTA solution.
