<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt type fixing apparatus using a planar heat-generating body that prevents a temperature increase in a non-sheet passing area by a simple arrangement. <P>SOLUTION: The planar heat-generating body 42 includes: a resistive heat-generating body 43 containing small heat-generating bodies electrically connected in parallel and aligned in a direction perpendicular to a direction in which a fixing belt 32 moves; and a PTC element 37 connected in series with the corresponding small heat-generating body in a power supply path from a power source 36 to the small heat-generating body, and having a resistance value increased at a predetermined temperature or higher. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
