<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine which can detect water level which is stored in a water tank exactly. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A water level detecting means 120 which detects the water level of washing water which is stored in a water tank 2 is provided. This water level detecting means 120 is a washing machine which is characterized by consisting of an air trap 120a and a water level sensor 120c which detects the water level by the pressure subjected from this air trap 120a, preparing a circulating pump unit 100 which circulates washing water in a water tank 3 under an outer case 1, and preparing the air trap 120a in this circulating pump unit.
