<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide position detection system which can reduce the influence of multipath or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of base stations 12 have an antenna section 36 which functions by switching between a nondirectional antenna and a directional antenna. The position detection system comprises: a primary positioning section 56 (SC1 to 4) for calculating the primary solution position of a mobile station 10 on the basis of a reception result in which the plurality of base stations 12 have received radio waves transmitted from the mobile station 10 by the nondirectional antenna; an antenna control section 35 for controlling the directional antenna of the base stations 12 so that a direction in which its gain is high becomes a direction toward the primary solution position; a secondary positioning section 66 (SC6 to 9, SC14 to 17) for calculating the secondary solution position of the mobile station 10 on the basis of a reception result in which the plurality of base stations 12 have received radio waves transmitted from the mobile station 10 by the directional antenna controlled by the antenna control section 35; and a position determination section 68 (SC10 to 12, SC18 to 21) for calculating the position of the mobile station 10 on the basis of the primary solution position and the secondary solution position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
