<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decorative material excellent in strength between sheets of paper and in pencil hardness. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This decorative material is obtained according to following steps of: (a) a step of pasting decorative paper on a platy substrate; (b) a step of applying on the surface of the decorative paper a resin liquid comprising a resin composition for a decorative material as main component, which essentially comprises a photocurable resin and a redox-curable resin; (c) a step of covering the applied surface with a plastic film for decorative surface finishing, and defoaming; and (d) a step of irradiating the surface with ultraviolet rays, and after the resin liquid is cured, peeling the plastic film from the cured surface.
