<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure safety by enabling only a serviceman to access a screen for a serviceman without complicated operation and setting a state of inhibiting the start of an engine while the serviceman is in the service a construction machine. <P>SOLUTION: When the key on-operation of a key means 20 is performed in this display control device, a reading part 6 reads a serviceman identification ID stored in a serviceman identification ID storage part 21 of the key means 20 through a key side communication part 22 and a vehicle body side communication part 5, and collates it with a registered ID to authenticate the coincidence of both the IDs. When the serviceman is authenticated, a display control part 7 displays a screen for the serviceman on a display device 4. Even if the engine start on-operation of the key means 20 is performed, the engine 3 is not started only by this operation.
