<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor allowing a gap between a stationary element and a rotary element to be uniformly set. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The compressor C is formed by magnetizing a magnetic metal 53 of a rotor (the rotary element) 52 by energizing a stator coil (a stationary element winding) 51 of a stator (the stationary element) 50; wherein a magnetization plate 55 is attached to a rotary shaft 5, to serve as a rotation detent for the rotor 52 when the magnetic metal 53 is magnetized, and a plurality of pass-through portions 57 are formed on the magnetization plate 55, through which a gap gauge 58 passes when inserting the gap gage 58 between the stator 50 and the rotor 52.
