SAFETY UNIT

A safety unit (5) for use with a scaffolding structure (40) or other structure, the unit comprising a support means (52) supporting a worker's platform (10) at an elevated position above the ground or a working deck of the structure, a fall prevention barrier (15, 20A, 20B) surrounding at least part of the worker's platform, access means (65) for climbing from the ground or working deck to the worker's platform, and securing means (35) for securing the unit to the structure for stability. The support means comprises one or more pairs of legs (52) which support the platform from the ground or working deck.
