The connecting unit has a housing (37) that comprises a connection side (42) with elongate outline, and a connection cable (5) that runs from the connection side to a cable outlet area (48). The cable outlet area is laterally eccentrically shifted to longitudinal axis (43) of the connection side and arranged with in an outline of the connection side. An extension direction (54) of the connection cable runs parallel to the longitudinal axis of the connection side of the housing. The cable outlet area overlaps the longitudinal axis of the connection side. An independent claim is also included for a valve arrangement comprising an electrically operated valve drive.
