When there is a helix-shaped relative movement between a beam source that generates a conical beam, and the examination region, the start and/or stop position is set so that the regions that are not exposed enough for reconstruction at the start or end of the beam, are larger below the mounting plate (200) in the direction of the axis of rotation, than they are above the mounting plate.
