<p>Motive power supply equipment 71 for a natural gas liquefaction plant, adapted to supply motive power to the natural gas liquefaction plant for liquefying a natural gas from which impurities have been separated in natural gas purification equipment 70 includes: gas turbine equipment 72 having a compressor 74 for compressing air, a combustor 75 for generating combustion gases by burning a fuel and the compressed air from the compressor, and a turbine rotated by the combustion gases from the combustor; and a low-temperature heat source supply system 85 which, during rated load operation of the gas turbine equipment, supplies carbon dioxide as a cooling medium to the gas turbine equipment in order to cool the gas turbine equipment, the carbon dioxide supplied in which case is generated by separation from the natural gas in the natural gas purification equipment. Thus, since high-temperature parts of the gas turbine equipment can be cooled sufficiently with the carbon dioxide from the low-temperature heat source supply system, reliability of the gas turbine equipment can be improved without decreases in output and efficiency of the gas turbine equipment.</p> |
