PURPOSE: An OPC operation control device and method in an optical disc device are provided to perform more accurate OPC operation by applying a newly generated write strategy. CONSTITUTION: An OPC operation control method in an optical disc device comprises a step of searching for a write pulse parameter from an optical disc when the optical disc is unknown(S12), a step of generating a new write strategy by applying the searched write pulse parameter and a write parameter delay component and an optical pick-up efficiency factor value set in the device(S14), and a step of applying the new write strategy and performing OPC operation(S16). |
