PURPOSE: A chain with coating material and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent noise from being generated in the chain by blocking the vibration of the chain during the ascent and descent of an elevator. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of the chain with coating material comprises following steps. Molten resin is supplied to a mold(13). A chain(12) passes through the mold. The molten resin is extruded on the outer surface of the chain through extrusion-molding and the coating material is coated on the surface of the chain. The mold comprises a resin channel, a chain channel, and a vacuum part. The resin channel is supplied with the molten resin. The chain passes through the chain channel. The vacuum part is formed between the resin channel and the chain channel. In the vacuum part, a suction port is formed at the front end to be connected to the chain channel.
