PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control decrease in coloring capability of each color in carrying out printing using both a special ink such as a metallic ink and a color ink in a printing system of printing an image by ejecting the ink. SOLUTION: The printer includes a head which has special ink nozzles for ejecting the special ink and ordinary ink nozzles for ejecting an ordinary ink, a conveying mechanism which conveys a recording medium relatively to the head, and a printing control part which prints the image to the printing medium using both the special ink and the ordinary ink by controlling the head and the conveying mechanism. The special ink nozzles and ordinary ink nozzles are arranged at the head while offset in a direction of the conveyance according to an order of superimposing the special ink and the ordinary ink.
