<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a room entrance/exit management system which makes information written in an IC card after IC card authentication and biometrics, and requires only the operation of making a user bring the IC card closer to an IC card reader/writer once. <P>SOLUTION: Biological information is read and stored. Next, the unique information of the IC card is read, and legitimacy is authenticated from the unique information. Subsequently, registered biological information corresponding to the unique information is collated with the stored biological information, and the legitimacy is authenticated. After that, the stored biological information is erased. When the authentication in the entrance into a room has the legitimacy, additional information is recorded in the IC card. When the authentication in the exit from the room has the legitimacy, the additional information is erased.
