PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel cord which excels in handling easiness, as well as suppresses ruffling of a composite sheet, uniformizes arrangement of the steel cords which are arranged on the inside of the composite sheet and improves the flatness, makes the manufacturing operation of tires easier and can furthermore improve the quality of tires. SOLUTION: A steel cord 1 in a rubber-steel cord composite has a strand diameter of 0.175-0.25 mm and has a (1+6+11) structure formed of a core 3 which has one wire, an inner layer which has six wires and an outer layer which has eleven wires and the core strand diameter formed of one wire is larger than those of other strand diameters. The elongation is 0.04-0.07% at a tensile load of 1.5-40 N, and the elastic modulus at a tensile load of 1.5-20 N is to be 0.6-1.0 times of that at a tensile load of 20-40 N.
