METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CODEC CONTROLLING IN NETWORK HANDOVER

PURPOSE: A codec controlling method during handover between heterogeneous networks and a system thereof are provided to minimize or prevent disconnection of a service even though it is accessed to a new network. CONSTITUTION: A codec controlling method during handover between heterogeneous networks comprises the following steps. When a strength value of a wireless communication signal is smaller than a preset value from the first network to a mobile node(110), the first request signal is received from the mobile node. A codec server(120) transmits network codec information that the mobile node can access to the mobile node in response to the first request. When the mobile node attempts to access the second network based on the network codec information, a correspondent node transmits data traffic to the mobile node.
