<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of paper exchanging times, in the case of executing a printing process using a printing instruction (printing job) including output control information in which a paper type is designated by page. <P>SOLUTION: A priority order in paper exchange by paper type is set by a priority order setting part based on the extracted output control information (step S101). At the absence of the specified size paper in a tray, the presence or absence of the paper having the higher priority than that of the processing target page in the tray is determined (step S104).
