<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grand-type piano which ensures a key touch feeling similar to that of a normal play mode to a player in a silent play mode, increases a distance between a hammer head and a string when releasing a jack, and thereby surely and easily performs muffling. <P>SOLUTION: The grand-type piano includes: a jack 10 for pushing up and rotating a hammer 5 according to depression of a key 14; a hammer shank flange 1 for freely rotatably supporting a hammer shank 5a; a muffling rail 15 for stopping the hammer head 5b from striking a string by allowing the hammer shank 5a to be abutted in the silent play mode; and a driving device 30 for moving the hammer shank flange 1 in a prescribed direction wherein the height of the hammer head 5b of a key releasing state is made lower than that of the normal play mode in the silent play mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
