<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a back light unit for keeping a light diffuser at a position to fully prevent deformation of the light diffuser and obtaining uniform surface-emitting light when the light diffuser is heated. <P>SOLUTION: The back light unit 1 includes a housing 10, a light diffuser 20, light sources 30, and spacer pins 40 vertically provided on a surface 10a opposite to the light diffuser 20 of the housing 10. Depressions are formed on a surface 20a of the light diffuser 20 facing to the housing 10. The tips of the spacer pins 40 are inserted in the depressions and the depressions and the tips of the spacer pins 40 are bonded with an adhesive agent to be fixed. The refractive indexes of the light diffuser 20 and the adhesive agent in the boundary face between the light diffuser 20 and the adhesive agent are approximately equal. The refractive index of the spacer pin 40 is approximately equal to the refractive index of the adhesive agent in the boundary face between the spacer pin 40 and the adhesive agent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
