摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detection device having superior resolution characteristics over the entire region, by solving the problem of essential resolution decline caused by the irradiation angle. <P>SOLUTION: In this radiation detection device, a radiation detection panel 23 is equipped with a photodetector 22, where a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements 33 are formed, and a phosphor film part 21, where a scintillator material 36 is formed on the surface of the photodetector 22. In the scintillator material 36, a plurality of columnar crystallites 38 are formed in the surface direction of the photodetector 22. The film thickness of the scintillator material 36 on the center part 40 of the radiation detection panel 23 is smaller than that of its peripheral part 41; and if the film thickness of the scintillator material 36 of the peripheral part 41 of the radiation detection panel 23 is T, the radiation incident angle isθ, and the pitch of the photoelectric conversion elements 33 is P, the relation T≤0.2×P/tanθholds. The film thickness of the peripheral part 41 of the scintillator material 36 is set in the range specified by the radiation incident angle and the pitch of the photoelectric conversion elements 33, to thereby suppress resolution decline and image distortions caused by inclination of a radiation incidence direction on the peripheral part 41. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p>
