<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time between when a user performs a print execution operation and when printing is executed, in an encryption authentication printing system. <P>SOLUTION: A printing system 20 is configured by connecting a computer PC as a client, a printer PRT1 as an authentication printing device, and a server SV for temporarily storing encrypted print data through a local area network LAN. A CPU 30 of the printer PRT1 receives the encrypted print data from the server SV when receiving acknowledgement showing that the server SV has received new encryption print data from the computer PC, and decrypts a part of the encrypted print data, and stores the decrypted print data in a decrypted data storage region 41. When a user completes authentication by a printer PRT1, and issues a print execution instruction, the CPU 30 of the printer PRT1 starts printing from the decrypted print data stored in the decrypted data storage part 41. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
