<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling system of an internal combustion engine capable of improving flexibility of arrangement of peripheral machinery included in the internal combustion engine. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The cooling system of an internal combustion engine includes: a crankcase 11; a cylinder block 14 disposed on an upper portion of the crankcase 11 and having a plurality of cylinder bores 14a; a cylinder head 15 disposed on an upper portion of the cylinder block 14; and an oil passage 85 formed in a rear surface portion of the cylinder block 14 so as to extend along a cylinder-arrangement direction.
