<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolytic capacitor capable of increasing electrostatic capacity with a simple structure. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the solid electrolytic capacitor 1, conductive members 19<SB>1</SB>, 19<SB>2</SB>to which the end face of an anode layer 6 is connected abut on the end face of a resist layer 8 separating the edge portion of a cathode layer 9 from the anode layer 6, thus widening a region where a dielectric layer is sandwiched by the anode and cathode layers 6, 9. Further, an edge portion 8a inside the resist layer 8 facing a base end section 19b of the conductive members 19<SB>1</SB>, 19<SB>2</SB>fixed onto a printed circuit board 4 is positioned inside an edge portion 19d inside the base end section 19b, thus reliably preventing the anode and cathode layers 6, 9 from being short-circuited via the base end section 19b of the conductive members 19<SB>1</SB>, 19<SB>2</SB>.
