PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device, improving the display quality by decreasing reverse tilt domain more than before. SOLUTION: An opening part 41a of a common electrode 41 includes a first straight line part 411 extending from each central part 11c of a pixel electrode 11 toward the ends 11e at both sides, a second straight line part 412 extending from the ends 411e at both sides of the first straight line part 411 to the outside of a forming region of the pixel electrode 11, wherein the first straight line part 411 and the second straight line part 412 make acute anglesθ1,θ2 from the initial alignment direction D in the reverse rotating direction RI to the rotating direction RD, and the acute angleθ2 made between the second straight line part 412 and the initial alignment direction D is larger than the acute angleθ1 made between the first straight line part 411 and the initial alignment direction D.
