摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a color filter substrate for a semi-transmissive liquid crystal display device providing high display quality and allowing low-cost manufacture, and the liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the color filter substrate for the semi-transmissive liquid crystal display device with pixels of a plurality of colors arranged two-dimensionally by applying a photosensitive colored composition by an inkjet method, comprises processes for (a) applying the photosensitive colored composition to apertures of a black matrix formed on a transparent substrate, by an inkjet method and drying the photosensitive colored composition to form the pixels, (b) irradiating the transparent substrate formed with the pixels, with ultraviolet rays through a multi-gradation mask having a plurality of regions with different transmittance in a region corresponding to one pixel, and (c) forming a plurality of regions of different film thickness within one pixel on the transparent substrate formed with the pixels and irradiated with ultraviolet rays, by alkali development. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
