<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent vibration and noise in a sound recording device in which an optical disk device is incorporated. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A CPU3 performs sound recording by supplying a voice signal from the outside to a hard disk drive 9 or an optical disk drive 8. The optical disk drive 8 prevents vibration and noise by rotation-driving the disk at the allowable lowest speed of the device when basic information of the optical disk is obtained by accessing to a read-in region of the optical disk.
