PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To vary motion characteristics of a vehicle such as steering feeling and controllability and stability to desired characteristics. SOLUTION: The control method for the damping force variable damper has a process for setting a damping force target value generated in each of dampers provided in every wheel according to the motion state of the vehicle; and a process for setting a drive current for generating damping force to the damper based on the damping force target value set in here. In these processes, when it is determined that the vehicle is during turning by turning state determination processing for determining the turning state of the vehicle, control is performed such that the damping force at the turning inner wheel side is generated while delayed than a turning outer wheel side.
