<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize a possibility for optimizing the treatment of the carcass part of a slaughtered poultry, capable of achieving a high production speed, high productivity and high quality of products, and obtaining a very high flexibility associated with the form, size and weight of the carcass of a treatment subject and also the flexibility associated with the obtained final products. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A method and a device for treating the carcass part of the slaughtered poultry is provided with that the carcass part comprises at least a part of a rib cage, meat naturally presenting on the rib cage, a neck part opening and a wing joint, and the carcass part has an interior. The method comprises a step of applying the carcass part over a product-carrier and fixing, a step of moving a wing joint-positioning member through the neck part opening into the interior of the carcass part and a step of exerting an inner pressure to the carcass part so that the one wing joint is supported at a predetermined position by a wing joint-positioning surface of a first wishbone blade.
