<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gradient information calculation device for acquiring a gradient value at high density, and to provide a navigation system, and a vehicle cruise controller. <P>SOLUTION: The gradient information calculation device includes: a first operation means 14 for calculating a first gradient value B based on a moved movement distance and a planar distance projecting the movement distance on a horizontal face for a prescribed time by detecting three-dimensional location information by self-contained navigation; a road map information storing means 17 for storing road map information expressing a road by a location information known node and a link connecting the node; a second operation means 16 for calculating a second gradient value A from an elevation difference between nodes and link length by estimating the elevation of the node from previously measured elevation data; and a gradient data selection means for deciding whether any one of the first or second gradient value is employed to a gradient value of the link in response to the deviation by comparing the first gradient value with the gradient value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
