<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling storage can perform a proper cooling operation by controlling openings of expansion valves by controllers respectively disposed on the expansion valves while using an existing controller. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this cooling storage 1 comprising a refrigerant circuit 5 having a plurality of evaporators 9, 11 and the expansion valves 10, 12, the expansion valve controllers 15, 16 controlling the opening of the corresponding expansion valve on the basis of a refrigerant inlet temperature and a refrigerant outlet temperature of each evaporator, are disposed, whether the expansion valve satisfies prescribed abnormality control conditions or not is determined on the basis of the refrigerant inlet temperatures and the refrigerant outlet temperatures of the evaporators 9, 11 and the openings of the expansion valves 10, 12 corresponding thereto, and the opening of the expansion valve is controlled to the expanding direction when the conditions are satisfied.
