<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium capable of performing super resolution reproduction of a fine recording pit having a size equal to or shorter than a reproduction limit at a satisfactory pit error rate without using high order non-linear equalization and the like. <P>SOLUTION: The shortest length L in a tangential direction of a track, the length W in a direction orthogonal to the tangential direction of the track and the shortest distance S between a plurality of pits adjacent to each other on the track in a plurality of pits are specified to satisfy relations of 0.75<(S-L)/W<1.2 and 2.5<(S+L)/W<4. In such an optical information recording medium, super resolution reproduction of the fine recording pit having the size equal to or shorter than the reproduction limit can be performed at a satisfactory bit error rate. A pit width can be narrowed and crosstalk from an adjacent track can be reduced. As a result, a track pitch can be shortened to a degree nearly twice as long as a pit length of an original reproduction limit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
