<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently detect an object inside an image, in an object detection method, an object detection device, and an object detection program and a printer. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When detecting an object from an image shown by work image data WD, a detection window WD is sequentially moved from a position close to an important point position having presence frequency of the object higher than the other positions to a position apart from the important point position in the work image data WD. Presence of the object is decided for window image data XD inside the detection window WD every time the detection window WD moves to each position.
