[Class 70.] Vulcanizing-apparatus particularly applicable to the treatment of the insulation of electric cables, comprises a two-part tubular casing 2, 3, carrying metal spacers 11, 12 for enclosing electric heating units, in an outer two-part casing 5, 6, the whole being adapted for clamping to the article to be vulcanized. The lower casing 6 has brackets 16, 17, with hinge pins 18, 21, providing bearings for bolts 19, 22. The bolts 19 pass through holes, and the bolts 22 through slots in a bridge-piece 24, through the centre of which passes a screw 26 attached to the upper casing 5. Registration of the two halves is ensured by dowels and lugs on end walls of the casings. |
