<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire can suppress the growth of the diameter of a tread part, enhance the durability performance and the wear performance of a belt, and enhance the projection ride-over performance. <P>SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire has a belt in which at least one circumferential belt layer and at least two inclined belt layers are arranged. The width of the circumferential belt layer is≥60% of the total width of the tire. The width of at least one inclined belt layer is larger than the width of the circumferential belt layer. When each circumferential belt layer is demarcated into a lateral center area and lateral end areas located on the outer side of the width direction in the lateral center area, the modulus of elasticity of a cord arranged in the lateral end areas is smaller than that of a cord arranged in the lateral center area.
