<p>Provided is an air conditioning apparatus wherein deterioration of air cleaning performance using ions is suppressed. The air conditioning apparatus makes ions contained in the air flowed in from an inflow port (13), and discharges the air from a discharge port. The pathway of the air is branched into first pathways (17), each of which is connected to an edge portion (141) that includes a part of an edge of the discharge port, and a second pathway (18), which is connected to a center portion (142) that includes the center of the discharge port. The first pathways (17) are continuously narrowed from the upstream toward the downstream of the air, and the air passing through the first pathways (17) has the speed thereof increased, and is discharged at a speed higher than that of the air passing through the second pathway (18). The ions contained in the air discharged through the second pathway (18) are blocked from, by means of the high-speed air discharged through the first pathways (17), electrostatically charged articles at the periphery of the discharge port, and are diffused in a space without being neutralized. Consequently, air cleaning is stably performed.</p> |
