<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead storage battery with increased current-carrying capacity at straps and an intercell connector, and with improved mechanical strength against a vibration. <P>SOLUTION: The lead storage battery has a plurality of lugs in positive-pole plates 3 and a plurality of lugs 2a in negative-pole plates 2 each connected by positive-pole and negative-pole straps 5, and an intercell connector 6 integrally cast to the positive-pole and negative-pole straps 5. In the battery, a casting-jet protrusion 7 formed in the casting jet of a mold in casting the straps 5 and the intercell connector 6 is arranged at the side of a border between each of the straps and the intercell connector, to leave the protrusion 7 as it is without any modification. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
