<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently reduce power consumption without causing unpleasant feeling of users, such as, customers in a demand control system used for a facility equipped with a large number of power receiving apparatuses including luminaires. <P>SOLUTION: The demand control system is provided with: a power quantity detecting section 20 for detecting the power consumption of the power receiving apparatus; a demand predicting section 15 for predicting whether a demand value as a sum value of the power consumption exceeds a contracted power value which is previously set; a demand schedule section 16 for selecting a luminaire 21 executing performance control and defining the control conditions thereof; and a demand control section 12 for controlling the performance of the luminaire 21, in conformity with the demand schedule section 16. According to this configuration, since the predetermined luminaire 21 is selectively controlled in performance, power consumption can be efficiently reduced without giving unpleasant sensation to the users of the facility, such as, customers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
